Yoga and herbalism Retreat

Stowe, Vermont

May 29th-June 1st, 2025

This three night retreat will be such an amazing experience for those interested in the healing aspects of not only yoga but also plant wisdom and medicine. Kacy has created this event to bring these two modalities to participants seeking re-connection to self, to nature, to the ancient philosophies of yogic study and herbalism. Kacy is a clinical herbalist and long time yoga practitioner and teacher leading retreats all around the world for many years. Let this be your chance to disconnect only to realign with self, to explore what nature has to offer, to tap into that knowing you feel deep down but can’t access just yet. Let yourself be supported, open new doors and create a baseline for you next steps to your truest self.

“I fully understand the meaning of the Body-Mind-Soul connection that is the essence of yoga. Kacy’s teaching of yoga is organic and her ability to project her in-depth knowledge and her enthusiasm to her students is unparalleled. Although, I have been practicing yoga for over a decade, only since taking Kacy’s classes do I fully understand the meaning of the Body-Mind-Soul connection that is the essence of yoga. I was fortunate to participate recently in one of Kacy‘s very well organized yoga retreats. Practicing yoga, surrounded by the beauty of Costa Rica‘s nature, taught me to let go of all that is trivial, live in the moment, and just be. My gratitude goes to Kacy who inspired me to join her and a group of incredibly kind and compassionate women. I returned enriched, refocused and with a strong desire to keep yoga a part of my daily life. ”

The lodge

The newly renovated Lodge is designed to inspire. We carefully crafted all our interior spaces using local natural materials and decor drawn from the surrounding environment to bring the outside, in.

Our studio is the heart, with incredible views of the Green Mountains and a peacefulness that mirrors the forest just outside. Living spaces are chic and cozy, designed to bring guests into community, and also give them space when needed.

Our retreat has access to it all. The Lodge. The Land. The Vibe, The Spirit of the Forest. And of course, our dedicated support.

LOCATION

Sterling Forest is located up a picturesque dirt road in a quiet mountain valley above Stowe, Vermont. Once your arrive, you immediately feel the peace and quiet of our zone in your bones.

The Lodge itself has sweeping views of Vermont's famous Green Mountains and the property sits on 30 pristine acres of fields, forests and an old apple orchard. We have miles of easily accessible trails to explore in any season, and quiet spaces to sit and relax. Our organic garden helps feed guests in the warmer months and we have nightly fires in our firepit for staying warm while gazing at the stars.

It's a little peaceful slice of heaven.

So, I’m really interested, what else is there for me to know?

Nourishing Cuisine

Our food program is rooted in the belief that nourishing, organic and healthy foods are integral to creating any container of healing or learning. The evolving seasonal menu draws from the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and Vermont's abundant local and organic farms (as well as from our own organic garden) to create magical, life-sustaining goodness.

All our meals are served family style at our large table so your guests can share meals and share interests. We serve vegetarian meals and can support almost all food options and allergies when requested.

What made Kacy choose this space? I’m glad you asked!

MISSION: At the heart, Sterling Forest Lodge is a home for adventurous souls. We provide a platform for healing, learning, exploring, and communing with the people and places that inspire us to live more consciously. Sometimes that might mean providing comfy rooms, warm fires, and delicious food for guests to help unwind, or it might look like deep, transformative work to remind you of your wholeness. Or perhaps a little bit of both. Whatever you are drawn to, we are here to help.

COMMITMENT: Our intimate venue up in the mountains provides a special location to try something new and spend time in our uniquely designed spaces surrounded by the magic of our forest. Sterling Forest Lodge has invested heavily to be a model for sustainable, life-supporting hospitality and we're committed to environmentally friendly and supportive business practices.

We grow nutritious, organic produce and flowers that support our food systems, compost on site for soil regeneration, and use all non-toxic and bio-friendly cleaning products throughout the Lodge.

GIVING BACK: We believe it's imperative that all businesses begin looking beyond profit and start focusing more on how we can protect this world and the people that inhabit it. As a mission-driven company, we're a proud member of 1% For The Planet and, in the near future, a Benefit Corporation.

We also support many local organizations including the Vermont Youth Conservation Corp, Stowe Land Trust, and the Vermont Food Bank.

We've also spared no expense to supply all our rooms with organic, non-toxic mattresses and linens from Avocado Green Mattresses, organic towels and robes from Under the Canopy, and Vermont's own natural bath products by Ursa Major. Rest easy, and rest safe.
